Our mental health providers include licensed clinical social workers, mental health therapists, as well as marriage and family therapists. Lori Sarvis has been in private practice since 1985. She works with adults in individual and couples counseling. Lori’s unique and sensitive approach to her clients helps them embrace the therapy process with a positive outlook. She treats each client as an individual and works with each person to create a customized treatment plan, which may include:
- Communication building
- Education (if diagnosed with a mental illness)
- Cognitive and behavioral changes
- Traditional mental health therapies
- Holistic approaches as a complement to traditional therapeutic methods
Lori believes it is important to formulate a treatment plan that includes a client’s primary physician or psychiatrist. Many of Lori’s clients come to her for help with their anxieties, panic attacks, depression, loss of a loved one, financial changes, relationship/intimacy problems, infertility issues, drug and alcohol issues, chronic pain, and coping with life’s daily stressors. Lori also works with clients who are court-ordered to receive therapy.
Lori is a certified hypnotherapist who frequently provides relief for clients who suffer from phobias, anxiety, traumas, and habits that have negatively impacted their lives. As a hypnotherapist, Lori has been trained in past-life regression. Lori is also a certified sex therapist who works in all areas of sexuality and has led many workshops in South Florida. Lori has been a guest speaker at mental health conferences throughout the state.
